Nurturing the Next Generation
Our School Clubs Initiative is designed to prepare female high school students to break barriers and step confidently into leadership roles, both now and in the future. For too long, young women have been socialized to view themselves as limited or dependent, rather than as individuals with the right to live fully, lead boldly, and aspire to greatness.
Through the establishment of 50/50 School Clubs, we are creating safe and empowering spaces where young women can learn about their rights and responsibilities, gain leadership, public speaking, and advocacy skills, and become conversant with international laws, conventions, and charters that uphold the basic human rights of all people. These clubs nurture the next generation of women leaders by encouraging critical thinking, confidence building, and civic engagement from an early age.
We have formed clubs across several schools, including St. Joseph’s Convent in Brookfield, Methodist Girls’ High School, Technical Vocational High School, FAWE School in Waterloo, Rokel Secondary School, Bishop Johnson School, and Model Secondary School. Through these pioneering institutions, young women are being equipped with the tools and mentorship needed to challenge outdated norms and drive inclusive change across Sierra Leone
